In 1998 Randee Eddins (founder of African American Writers Alliance) and son Rajnii Eddins founded The Poetry Experience an all-ages writing and sharing circle at Douglass Truth Library in Seattle, Washington ~26 years later this community group has touched the lives of generations of artists, activists and organizers.
